Jennifer Lopez's twin birthday party
Jennifer Lopez threw a star-studded party to celebrate her twins' first birthday on Saturday afternoon (21.02.09).
The singer-and-actress and her husband Marc Anthony hosted 50 guests in the garden of their Bel Air home, in Los Angeles, in honour of Max and Emme, who turned one yesterday (22.02.09). A source said: "All the children had a great time. Jennifer and Marc had done a great job decorating their backyard in red and blue with silver balloons, and they had really thought how best to keep the kids entertained. "There were two moonbouncers, a clown and great music and they had even got a cocktail company, The Margarita Man, to make non-alcoholic slush drinks." Guests including Nicole Richie, Joel Madden and their one-year-old daughter Harlow sang happy birthday while a cake from elite Beverly Hills bakers Rosebud Cakes was presented to the twins. Jennifer has previously admitted she is unsure whether she will expand her family any further. She said: "I don't know if I'm going to have kids again, so I want it to be a beautiful experience. I don't want to have any drama. I want to just be smiling every day.' " Posted on 23 Feb 2009
Jennifer Lopez dishes on Oscar Glamour
Jennifer Lopez may not have made it to N.Y.C. Fashion Week but that didn’t stop her from celebrating fashion this week! The diva turned up at the Beverly Hills launch of famed stylist Andrea Lieberman’s A.L.C. line for Barneys New York. With the Oscars just days away, talk inevitably turned to this year’s Academy Awards red carpet. For her part, Lieberman is ambivalent about the impact the economy will have on the Oscar’s glamour. “It’s hard to predict what people will wear,” the tastemaker tells WWD, “but I think the mood right now is a little more effortless. I think people just don’t want to look like they’re trying too hard.” Lopez, however, was adamant that she thinks the Oscars should continue to shine. “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with playing dress up right now,” she tells WWD. “Who wouldn’t want to wear borrowed dresses and borrowed jewelry?” But she is aware of the dilemma many stars find themselves in. “I think you can get criticized if you’re wearing borrowed dresses now because it’s borrowed, and I think you can get criticized for if it’s not because you bought it during the current economy,” she says. “So I say, do what makes you happy and wear what you want, because the only thing that really matters,” she jokes, “is if your mother calls you up the next days and says, ‘What were you wearing?’”

Ringless Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony Walk Golden Globe Carpet Together
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony walked the red carpet together at Sunday's Golden Globe Awards.
Lopez -- who was not wearing her wedding ring -- donned a mashed gold bugle beaded embroidered long draped dress by Marchesa. The couple's major public outing comes a month after multiple sources confirmed to Us Weekly that their marriage is at a breaking point. "They both didn't wear their rings on purpose," a mutual pal of the married couple of four years (who renewed their vows in October) told Us. "Nothing Jennifer does is without purpose." Anthony's rep has insisted, "They are doing great." Posted on 14 Jan 2009
J.Lo replaces Brangelina at the Globes
There’s been mounting speculation in industry circles that the Oscars are trying to make the Golden Globes increasingly insignificant. How? By telling presenters that if they make a splashy appearance at the Globes, then their chances of having a similar presence at the big dance in February is less likely.
Enter Jennifer Lopez, who opened the Golden Globes by presenting the first award. “J.Lo wasn’t the first choice," says a source close to the planning. "They were hoping that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie would open the show; it looked good, then all of a sudden, Brad and Angie weren’t interested anymore. J.Lo was happy to do it, and there you go.” Lopez’s appearance didn’t do much to quell rumors that her marriage is on the rocks. Lopez did not wear her wedding ring while on stage, although her husband Marc Anthony was in the audience. One Lopez source commented, “if she wanted the rumors to go away, she would have tossed the ring on her hand.” Posted on 14 Jan 2009
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony Jet to Puerto Rico
So much for Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony's big Valentine's Day demise. (Or so we're being led to believe...)
In the face of reports that the duo have been fighting and are headed for a split, E! News has learned exclusively that J.Lo and her hubby are spending a few days together in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where Anthony is scheduled to perform as part of his ongoing tour. Two days ago, Lopez and Anthony met up with friends and family for dinner at Marmalade, a trendy, upscale restaurant in the old-town section of San Juan. "Jennifer and Marc looked very happy, so it is hard for me to believe the rumors that their marriage is in trouble," the eatery's general manager, Trace Donaldson, tells E! News. "They were laughing and seemed to be having a great time." The couple were joined by a group that included Lopez's sister, Lynda. On Monday, the Out of Sight star's rep denied to E! a New York Daily News report that had the seemingly cozy couple planning to announce their breakup right after Anthony's Feb. 14 show at Madison Square Garden. "There is no merit to the article," the rep said. Lopez was spotted Dec. 26 boarding a private flight straight to Puerto Rico out of Van Nuys Airport. Posted on 31 Dec 2008

Jennifer Lopez / Marc Anthony marriage said to be at 'breaking point'
Marc Anthony was quick to squelch rumors about trouble in paradise - or at least, Brookville - after a celebrity magazine reported his marriage to Jennifer Lopez was at a "breaking point."
"They are doing great," a spokeswoman for Anthony said yesterday, after reports surfaced that the singer was flirting with a woman at two New York City nightspots earlier this month. "Any comments implying that they are having problems and that Marc behaved in a questionable manner while out with friends last week are absolutely false," Anthony spokeswoman Blanca Lasalle told Newsday. A spokeswoman for Jennifer Lopez echoed Anthony's reprise, saying: "They are fine." The hullabaloo began when Us magazine posted a story online yesterday noting that Jennifer Lopez attended a movie premiere without her 8-carat diamond engagement ring, her wedding band - or, for that matter, her husband. Anthony, meanwhile, was reportedly seen in Las Vegas a week earlier, without his wedding band. "They both didn't wear their rings on purpose," the magazine says, quoting a "mutual pal" of the couple. "Nothing Jennifer does is without purpose." Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, the parents of 10-month-old twins, renewed their vows in October. They have been married four years. "He's very, very controlling of her," a close Anthony pal told Us. "The skirts aren't as short. You don't see so much of that booty anymore." The magazine also reports that Anthony also picks out Lopez's clothes and keeps tabs on her phone calls. But Jennifer Lopez - who once claimed she "loved getting his opinions" - has become less interested in his approval since the birth of their twins, Max and Emme, the magazine said. "She walks in from work, washes her hands and grabs the babies," a "longtime friend" told Us. "With him, it's almost like, 'Ugh, they're crying again?'" Posted on 19 Dec 2008
