Jennifer Lopez visits Key Biscayne
Even at 8 in the morning on a Saturday, the singer-actress also known as Jennifer Lopez was chirpy, affable and sexy.
She bounded on the stage at Key Biscayne's Crandon Park to kick off the March of Dimes March for Babies 2009. Dressed in tight white jeans and a hoodie, Lopez, 39, looked like anything but a harried new mom, with huge movie-star sunglasses, dazzling smile and long curls blowing in the wind. The 5,000-plus crowd -- peppered with parents of premature infants -- went wild. Especially when the Bronx bombshell looked at a fan directly and said, ''I love you, too, baby,'' and giggled. What was someone of Lopez's star magnitude doing there? Fourteen-month-old twins Max and Emme (with husband Marc Anthony) were born perfectly healthy, but she has done her homework on keeping them that way. Her new cause: raising awareness of pertussis, more commonly known as whooping cough, through her role as spokeswoman for The Sounds of Pertussis Campaign. She's fronting a PSA on getting adults immunized for the disease, so they don't unwittingly pass it on to their kids. ''Like every parent, once you hold your baby in your arms you know the focus of your life completely shifts,'' said the star of the upcoming film The Back-Up Plan. ``I needed to know everything there was to know about keeping my children healthy and safe and well.'' Jennifer Lopez -- who completed a triathlon in September for charity -- did not partake in the four-mile beach walk. But, hey, no one could blame her for wanting her beauty rest. Jennifer Lopez Has Nicknamed Daughter "Emme-tude"
Jennifer Lopez says her 1-year-old twin girl Emme is already taking after mommy's divalicious ways.
Emme "kind of like takes a step and stops and picks things up, and she's like, 'I don't know - maybe I'll eat this, I don't know. Mom, can I have some of your water? Oh, forget it!'" Lopez says on Friday's Rachael Ray Show (check your local listings). "She's really kind of indecisive, but at the same time very precise." "Emme has her moments," the star goes on. "She's funny because we call her Emme-tude. We're like, 'She's giving us Emme-tude!'" She doesn't do the whole knocking everything down and all that, but when she catches an attitude, wooooah! She gets that from her dad. I'm kidding - she gets it from me!" Max "is more like the visceral boy, running, knocking things down, eating the world," says Lopez, adding that he is also like his self-described "tomboy" mommy. She and Marc Anthony are always playfully fighting over whom their babies resemble more. "Me and Mark are always claiming, 'He's got my head and he's got my mouth,'" Lopez says. "And he's like, 'He's got my eyes and my nose, and I'm like, 'Thank God she's got my nose!' It’s awful!" She goes on, "I was like, 'Look, they have lighter hair!' And he goes, 'That was me when I was a baby.' Marc's hair is pitch black, by the way. But you want it all to be you. She's got my little body, it's crazy. That's the nature of who we are, we can't help it. We're both trying to steal it all." Are their more babies on the way? Maybe. That's why she hasn't tossed out her pregnancy sweatpants. "They're super extra big now," says Lopez. "Who knows if I get pregnant again? I might need them!" Posted on 28 Apr 2009
Jennifer Lopez on twins: "They're very different"
People tend to think twins are one in the same, but Jennifer Lopez says hers are "very different" from each other — and not just in terms of looks.
During a guest appearance on the Rachael Ray Show on Friday, Jennifer Lopez explained how her twins, 14-month-old Emme and Max, have two distinct personalities. "They're very different. You can really see it, even from when they're really young," Lopez said. The 39-year-old mother described her son as the type who is always "running, knocking things down [and] eating the world." Her daughter, on the other hand, is more "indecisive" about her actions, but, at the same time, "very precise." Jennifer Lopez says she and husband Marc Anthony sometimes disagree about who contributed what features to their babies' faces. "You know what's so funny though? Me and Mark are always claiming he's got my head and he's got my mouth," said Jennifer Lopez. "That's the nature of who we are. We can't help it. We're both trying to steal it all!" Jennifer Lopez's hairy house
The singer-and-actress reportedly owns so many hairpieces she has built a 'wiggery' in her New York mansion, which she shares with her husband Marc Anthony and their 13-month-old twins Max and Emme.
A source said: "Jennifer keeps the door locked and hardly ever lets anyone in the room, not even Marc. The shelves on the walls are full of plastic heads holding the best hairpieces money can buy." Jennifer, 39, is so obsessed with changing her hair she constantly updates her collection and is keen to try out new styles. The source added to National Enquirer magazine: "Her actual hair is shoulder-length. Her wigs allow her to experiment with different looks and styles without having to have extensions or grown her own locks. She has short, long and super-long looks. Her wigs are so elaborate they take on a life of their own." Posted on 17 Apr 2009
Jennifer Lopez eyeing deluxe condo hotel in Miami
Jenny From the Block may be purchasing more property in Miami.
Jennifer Lopez, who already owns homes on both Long Island and Star Island in Miami, just checked out suites at the Icon Brickell property, home to the Viceroy Miami. The glam hotel's property developer, Jorge Perez, gave J.Lo and hubby Marc Anthony a personal tour of the recently opened towers in Miami's up-and-coming downtown district. Says an insider: "Jennifer saw Jorge's condo and loved it so much that she's considering combining a couple of units to make one big apartment as a weekend getaway." Posted on 16 Apr 2009
A little message re the previous article
HI everyone! I have received a few mails from visitors who are afraid we may have to shut down this site because of its domain name, so I thought I had to let you know what's going on. As previously mentionned on the site, the two domain names that will be transferred to the Jennifer Lopez Foundation were registered by a guy who was using them to redirect the potential visitors to a site that mainly consisted of ads, nothing there was about Jennifer and that dude was clearly exploiting her fame.
Our situation is different because our domain is leading to a fan site. We've been online for more than 3 years, and our updates are super regular so no one can actually claim that we just bought the link for something else than provide the fans with the latest news on Jennifer. Our situation is also different because unlike this webmaster, we make no profit from our site. It's actually the opposite situation, it's costing big $$$ to keep it online, and if you need an exemple, just try to remember the number of times we had to find a new host and pay for it. I regularly receive offers from companies who want to buy the domain, probably to redirect their visitors to a porn site or a random celebrity site with hundredds of ads everywhere, and I never sold the domain, just as I have never accepted offers from advertising companies because this is not a commercial site, it's a fansite. I think this is also the reason why Jennifer's foundation only went after this guy and left the other webmasters alone, because quite frankly, many URLs are using Jennifer's name but 99% are fansites so that would be stupid to get rid of them, we are after all promoting her career. I haven't received any complaint by Jennifer's people so I assume they are fine with me having my website here, but if they have a problem with my site then I suppose the first step would be for them to contact me so we can find a solution. Until then, we won't change our habits and we will still keep you informed on Jennifer's career. :-) Posted on 10 Apr 2009
Jennifer Lopez Wins Cybersquatting Case
American singer and actress Jennifer Lopez has won a cybersquatting case against a U.S. web operator who registered two Internet addresses that used her name for commercial profit, a U.N. agency said on Thursday.
The disputed domain names, jenniferlopez.net and jenniferlopez.org, directed users to a website that generated paid advertising revenues, according to the ruling issued by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). An independent arbitrator ordered the domain names transferred within 10 days to the Jennifer Lopez Foundation, which filed the complaint. The charitable foundation promotes better access to healthcare for women and children. The Grammy-nominated singer, widely known as J.Lo, joins other celebrities in ousting cybersquatters through the dispute procedure, including Pierce Brosnan, Tom Cruise, Celine Dion, Scarlett Johansson, Nicole Kidman, Madonna and Julia Roberts. Lopez, who is from the South Bronx, registered her name as a trademark in the United States in May 1999 and has sold more than 48 million albums worldwide, according to her complaint. A man based in Phoenix, Arizona, named as Jeremiah Tieman, registered both domain names and asserted that he ran primarily a fan site devoted to providing news and information about the star, according to the arbitrator, Williams Towns. Tieman "registered two domain names that are identical to the complainant's mark and has used those domain names to attract Internet users to a website from which (he) generates pay-per-click advertising," Towns said in his ruling. The American arbitrator found that the registration had been for commercial use and was in bad faith. Posted on 10 Apr 2009
